“Malvasia” Room

Double bedroom faces north-east, with views of Parma, the vineyards and the Alps Arc.

The name “Malvasia” derives from a combined variation of Monembasia, a Byzantine stronghold perched on the rocks of a promontory located south of the Peloponnese, where they produced sweet wines which were then exported throughout Europe by the Venetians with the name of Monemvasia. The wine made with this variety had become extremely popular, so much so that Venice was full of taverns, called Malvase, consecrated to its consumption ‘.
